Free Financial Planning Information
There are six steps to financial planning. Each step may take several
minutes to several hours to complete. It may not be easy, but it is well
worth the time. Grab a cup of coffee, a pen and paper, and let's get started.
The step to a financial plan are:
Step 1: Establish Goals
Step 2: Gather Data
Step 3: Analyze Data
Step 4: Develop Plan
Step 5: Implement Plan
Step 6: Monitor Plan
Establish Goals You need to do this on your own. What are you
saving for? Goal must be specific and quantifiable.
Gather Data Add up your liabilities (what you owe) Add up you assets
(cash, stocks, etc...)
Analyze Data Identify your financial strengths and weaknesses Revise
goals if necessary
Develop Plan Design a way to achieve your goal: budget, start investing,
have funds electronically transferred to investment accounts, etc...
Implement Plan Get motivated! Use the tools on this site and other
sites to help you get started.
Monitor Plan Evaluate the performance of all implementation vehicles.
